My opinion about smoking is that even though i don't smoke or do any of those stuff i know that its very bad for one to be smoking. For example, i know and have seen young people smoking like around     15-16 and and i also know that even though they like to be smoking they are NOT suppose to be doing that type of stuff at a young ages like ours. A lot of people start smoking because of the same reason that they see other people smoking and think that just because they start smoking they want to start smoking to. Also they start smoking not just because they see other people smoking, but also because they think that smoking will help and solve their problem.

Other people start smoking because they say it makes you feel good about it and also because they think that its really fun to do. Some people ask me if i smoke and of course my answer is NO!!. Others ask me if i would like to try it one day or if i want to smoke a cigarette with them the answer im always going to have in mind and the answer i will always say to them is obviously NO!!. As much as i tell people i know to stop smoking they just  don't stop. At the end of the day the ones that are going to end up hurt and going to the hospital are them and not us the people that try to stop them. I really wish we can do something about smoking and to also stop doing all those ugly things.

Assignment #31- Free Choice

One of my favorite things to do in my free time is listening to music. Music is my life i cannot go a day without it. The reason why i like to hear a lot of music is because it makes me feel good not only that but it also makes me be in a good mood. I like listening to any kind of music as long as Im hearing something. The type of songs that i like to listen the most and that i usually listen to are: spanish songs, hip-hop, love songs and reggeton.

 When it comes to music i just love singing along. That's my other favorite thing to do i really like singing. Singing makes me feel pretty good and especially when im feeling down. I like to sing when im feeling down, because it makes me wanna sing more and also i feel that when im singing, i could let all my anger out. I am not sure i have a good voice but most of the time my friends tell me to sing for them and when i do they tell me that i do have a pretty nice voice and they like how i sing.

I think my parents had not heard me sing enough to tell me what they think about my voice. At times i wish i could sing to them but since sometimes i can be a very shy person i don't do it. The person that has heard me sing before is my cousin Elizabeth. She heard me sing but not because she asked me or i wanted to but because she heard me randomly when i wasn't looking or when i didn't even know she was there. I was in my room cleaning up, when i started to song after i turned around and notice she was listening i felt really embarrassed because she had heard me sing. After all im glad she did hear me sing because that way i know if i suck at singing or not. Those are some of my favorite things to do in my free time.

Assignment #26-critical film review

One of my favorite movies that i'v watched and the one that i most likely loved the most is called "A Walk To Remember." This movie was made by the author named Nicholas Sparks. its based on a teenage romantic drama film. A walk to remember, is a really is a really great movie. This movie talks about a girl named Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore), and a guy named Landon Carter (Shane West) who met each other on a public school. While on the bus waiting for all of them to get to school, jamie was trying to make conversation with landon. Landon did not say a word while in the bus besides one or two words. Once they get off the bus, jamie still tries to make conversation with landon, but still landon doesn't say a word. Jamie then realizes that landon gas a girlfriend and realizes that's the reason why he wouldn't start conversationb with her. So days pass by when jamie realizes that she was in this play she had to do. Jamie got the part where she had to sing a lovely song and she says that landon is also in the same play as she is part of. Jamie sees that landon only starts talking to her because he does need a little help on his part of the play but jamie has the honor to help him out with his play at her house. Once they start seen meeting each other more to practice thier part for the play, thtey start making more conversation and thats when they realize that thet are falling in live with each other. When the day of the play comes they go together and practice their part for the lasat part befeore the play began. So the seconds are passing by and that,s when the show begins. When jamie starts singing her lovely song, landon and the whole audience go in shock because they had never heard such a beautiful voice as her's. At the end of the song, landon reaches over and kisses her. Thats when thet start dating each other and statr seeing each other more at jamies house. It was a beautiful night when landon and jamie went for a walk together. Landon notices that there was something wrong with jamie she felt dizzy and suddenly she faints in landons arms. Landon then took her to the doctor and realizes that jamie had a desease called Lukimia.

Assignment #30 Internent Search

A genetically modified organism (GMO). is an organism that has been using genetic engeneering techniques. An organism are basically like little plants, animals or fungi's that are udes in sciebce and produce goods other than foods. GMO's are some type of seperate aricles such as modified foods, organisms or also maybe modifeid crops. Monsato has to do with the destruction of the humanity. the Monsato humanty destroys our life and could also threaten the future of our planet.

My opinion about GMO's or what i think about it is that the Monsato could not only destroy our own lifes, but it could also destroy the planet and our planet's future. For example it can destroy the plants, insects or our animals by not taking good care of them and letting them destroy their own life by leaving them lonely and abonded. That's my opinion or atleast that's what i think about about the GMO's and about how bad Monsato could be to our planet.

Assignment #16- expertise

My favorite website is Google. There are some stuff i am/ i am not good at. For example one thing i am not good at is playing soccer. Soccer is a really nice sport to play and also makes you work out. im not that much of a soccer player, but i sometimes like to play. I may not be good at this sport, but i try my best to be good at it. Soccer is a sport that i would never want to play becuase of the same reason i thought i wasn't good at. once i started to play this sport, soccer became mostly my first sport that i'v been practicing for days inorder to get better at it and start playing more often. That is one thing i might not be good at but can learn to play. The one thing i might be good at is playing volleyball. Volleyball is one sport i'v always liked no matter what. In fact i was in a volleyball game about 5 years ago. Me and my cousin were in the same team because we went to the same school. Every time we had a game, we would always practice before the first game started. While we would practice we would see people coming in to see us play. After more and more people came in to watch us play we would start getting ready and start going to our positions. When we were ready to play i did feel kind of nervous that we would loose a game or two, but at the end of the day i still remember that we won our first game. Me and my team were very proud of our selfs mostly our coach Mrs. Merrimak. We did do a pretty good job at our first game and im never going to forget that day. Well those are some things that i might/not might be good at.

Assignment #25-pop-popular-culture

One of my favorite shows that still is in today's culture is the Ghost Whisper. This show is about a lady named miranda (Jeniffer Love Hewitt) that can see and hear things like ghosts, moving things and dead things. The Ghost Whisper is a very good and entertaining show that one can enjoy. It might seem scary but its really not but like i said before its very entertaining. Miranda is a young and beautiful lady that tries to help people and talk to people that are related to the dead person. The dead and the person thats alive trie to talk to each other to see how things really happened. Since the person alive cant hear or see that dead person or their ghost spirits they both talk to miranda the ghost whispser lady. Miranda explains to that one person what the ghost whisper is trying to say. After they all get together and talk about what happened, at the end of the day in the show, the ghost then sees the light and has to go where its suppose to go and rest in peace knowing what actually happened. So miranda then goes back home knowing that she had finished her things and what she was supposed to help with. That's basically what the show is mostly about. And is still on these days.

Today i am going to write about my Great-Grandma. My Great-Grandma was an amazing person. She is now not with us anymore. She passed away a year ago. I didn't get to be with her now that im all grown up, the only time i got to spend time with her, was when i lived in mexico with my actual grandparents. I was only 5 years old when i got to spend time with her and had the chance to always be there for her just when she was always there for me whenever i needed her or whenever i needed something.

My Great-Grandma would always be there for me no matter what. I still remember the time when i fell of my bike and there she was for me to go help up from the ground. After she went to pick me up she also saw that i had a scrape in my knee, so there she went again looking for something to clean it up with after she did that she went ahead and she put the bandaid in my knee. Im never going to forget that moment. My Great-Grandma was the best thing i ever had.

Although i didn't get to see her much or be there for her, i would always talk on the phone when we had the time or when my mom would call to see how she and our other family were doing over at mexico. I miss my Great-Grandma she was the nicest and sweetest person ever. Im never going to forget her because she will always be with us no matter what and she will also be watching over us where ever we go and whatever we do. I miss her so much. She made me become a better person and she always told me that no matter what life always goes on and to become a stronger person

Assignment #17- Stranded

If i was stranded in a deserted island, i would bring a lot of things on me if i could:
One thing i would definitely bring with me it would be my iphone. i would bring my phone with me because  if i were to be bored i could just go in my phone and start playing games.


Another thing i would take with me it would be my ipod nano. i would bring my ipod because that way i could listen to music and go into Facebook and have some entertainment while just laying down on the sand and getting some rest
                                                       
The one last thing i would bring with me would probably be food and drinks incase i get hungry or thirsty. if iwere to bring food i would bring In-N-Out, McDonald's or Subway.

         

Assignment#15 My Dream Job/Career.

My dream career is to become a Therapist. A Therapist is someone who sits down and talks/helps threw out people's problems. I would like to be become a therapist, because i would like to help people. I would like to help them with their problems, listen to them, give them advice and finally helping them resolve whatever problem their having.

I like giving advice to people because when you're talking and giving them some advice you feel that you're actually helping them and it makes you feel proud of yourself and it also feels good that you were a help to them. When sitting down and talking to people about their problems,  you also have to be able to ask them questions. Not only is it important to ask them questions, but its important to answer their qustions. Its also important what kind of questions you are asking them, because it depends the problem their having.

I also want to be a therapist, because i wanna treat people like they have someone to talk to and someone that you can put all  you're trust in and be able to undersatnad you. They have to be able to understand you, so they can also be able to reccommend you to other peple that are having the same or even worst prblems. Being a therapist is very important. Its important, because helping people can lead you to a very good signal.

I chose this topic to be my dream  career because i really want to be a big help to people and i also want to be someone that people can admire. I want people to admire me not just because im going to be a big help to them by helping them out with their problems and helping them resolve them, i also want hem to admire me because who i am going to be in the future. I wanna be someone in the future so that i can be able to  get my one therapist diploma and get my scholarship degree. I want people to be proud of me for who i am and for what im going to be in the future. I do want be a better person in the world and i know im going to be that person that me and my family wanted me to be. I want them to be very proud of me and maybe someday tell me " Iris, we all know that you wanted to become a better person in life and you have reached you're goal."

   1. To get my permit and drivers license, so i can have my own car and go anywhere i want to go and not having to take the bus or walking.

    

   2. To get a career and earn myself some money so i can but my self all the things i wish to buy.

   3. To get married with the perfect guy of my life and maybe some day have some wonderful kids and become a happy family.

   4. Travel around different type of countries so i can experiment different kinds of objects and how there different to any other countries and cultures.

   5. To finally learn how to play the piano and to be a pianist to impress people with my lovely melodies and to have the dream i always wanted to have.
